Claire got her first piggy-tails. Her hair is a lot longer in back than on the sides, so we could do pig-tails, but I had to clip her hair back in the front. At the beginning of June I finally decided to trim it a bit (with Kadie’s help.) It is still longer in back but looks better, hopefully not too mullet-like.
Despite me telling her that she is too big, Claire likes to go and sit in the bouncer in Brother’s room. One day I found her in there with her blankets playing the harmonica. It was pretty cute!
Flying her first kite with Dad. She would hold on for a few seconds and then let go. She didn’t quite get how things worked.
We got to see the solar eclipse, it was pretty cool. We even got good clouds for a second that let us take a picture directly.
At the airshow in Clearfield, UT with Mark’s family (my Mom found us too.)
Me and Mark’s sister Sara. They are having a little girl a month after us.
Claire and Mark throwing rocks in the Logan River on our walk up the canyon with Mark’s family. Claire slept for most of the walk.
With Aunt Maddie at her high school graduation.
Swimming at the South Jordan Rec Center.
Fountains at City Creek. Claire went around and around.
Smelling the flowers at home. We have mostly convinced her not to pull the flowers by having her smell them instead. Now she sniffs at any flower she sees, real or not.
Claire put her shoes on all by herself (they are on the wrong feet.)
Here is our cherry harvest from the tiny tree that we planted last year.
Claire playing in her super cool pool that we were given for her baby shower. She wasn’t a big fan of it spraying on her, but was delighted when I turned that water down and she could just splash.
Dad helped her build a lego tower to sit on. The next day she wanted to continue doing the same thing….the legos were to sit on.
We made some homemade ice cream. Claire was very intent on watching it (almost the whole 20 minutes).
Claire with an inflatable star (from her pool) on her head. She looks like a cute flower. Claire loves when Mark gets home from work. The first thing she usually insists on is going outside and swinging.
And now we are just waiting for Brother to come. Two weeks (plus or minus who knows how much)!
